Every woman I know has a story of intuition.
A story of a first date where you had a clenching feeling in your stomach, even though you couldn’t pinpoint why. A story of a time when you felt the sudden need to check in on your kids, even though everything seemed all right at the time. A story of a friendship that simply felt off, and when things came to light, you found yourself wishing you’d cut ties sooner.
A story where their intuition was a gift, and their body kept the score.
What is intuition?

There’s quite a bit of (warring) science I won’t dive into here, but one of the gifts of the feminine genius is that women have a strong intuition. We have sensations that lead us towards action, even if they’re hard to define or describe. This often looks like someone saying “It was a gut feeling” or “I don’t know how I know, I just know.” Call it a hunch, or a vibe, or a hankering.
Your intuition is not some woo-woo manifestation magic; it has nothing to do with crystals or the full moon. What it is is a gift: a gift of your femininity, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Our culture often prizes cold, hard data over the beauty of a woman’s intuition, leading women to question themselves, ignore important red flags, and disown the feminine genius within them in order to lean into a more masculine, data-driven way of seeing the world. The prolonged effort to convince women they must be misreading situations can have a serious gaslighting effect, and can lead to women shutting down or ignoring their intuition all together.
So when women say to “listen to your gut”, or “follow your heart”, I think what they’re often trying to say is trust your intuition.
