JP2, casually chilling in the mountains next to a dead fish. It’s a vibe.
Hi all,
Just a quick note to remind you that we have one spot left for our October pilgrimage, and registration closes June 30. That means this is literally your last chance to join us.
10 days. You and 30 new besties. The Tatra mountains, JP2’s home *on his feast day*, the mournful site of the Nazi concentration camp where St. Maximilian Kolbe and Edith Stein were killed, the underground salt chapel, the Divine Mercy image, an obscene amount of pierogi, and more.
I really feel that there’s one more person who’s supposed to join us on this trip. And I’m just wondering if you could ask God today if that might be you.
We have women of all ages, stages, and backgrounds on this trip. But what we don’t have (yet) is you.
You can read about John Paul the Great over a computer screen all you want. You can watch a thousand YouTube videos breaking down his teachings. But an actual, in-real-life, tangible visit to the home where he learned about Jesus? It’s so freaking powerful.
In transforming culture so that it supports life, women occupy a place, in thought and action, which is unique and decisive. It depends on them to promote a "new feminism" which rejects the temptation of imitating models of "male domination", in order to acknowledge and affirm the true genius of women in every aspect of the life of society, and overcome all discrimination, violence and exploitation. - Saint John Paul the Great
If you’re on the hunt for a Catholic community, I’ll tell you this: the women from our France trip are still texting each other, flying across the country to visit each other, and praying for each other. I made life-long friends on our first pilgrimage and I know I’ll do the same on this one.
Let me know if you have any questions.
St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, pray for us!
In Him Through Her,
Claire
